For 2021,
we’re taking
our virtual workshop
to the next level

After a successful virtual workshop last summer, we’ve learned a lot, and we’re creating an even more dynamic experience for 2021 while looking forward to returning to our face-to-face format in 2022.

New workshop platform

A more engaging virtual experience

A new award-winning event platform creates a more unified and interactive workshop experience, including real-time updates, messages, live polls, photo sharing and gamification.

The Gloria Shields NSPA Media Workshop will be virtual again this summer — June 27-30.

As plans are finalized, they will be announced on this website.

Here is a message from workshop director Dow Tate —

After reading survey responses, we’re making the difficult decision to once again do the Gloria Shields NSPA Media Workshop virtually.

Our plan is to build on last year’s success and make the experience as personal as we are able to.

The challenge for us in having to make this decision in April rather than June was the uncertainty of overnight travel policies.

By June, we hope that many schools, at the least, will be able to meet in person. We’re encouraging neighboring schools to join together to participate in the workshop because know that the in-person group experience brings a certain synergy.

We can tell you that our same high-quality instructors will return to do everything they can to make the experience productive.

Our thanks to those of you that responded to our survey. If you have additional feedback for the committee as we plan for this summer, please let us hear it.
