Journalistic Excellence

The Gloria Shields NSPA Media Workshop attracts top scholastic media programs from across the country. During the 2025-26 school year, staffs attending the workshop earned top national honors:

• 15 CSPA Gold Crowns
• 6 CSPA Silver Crowns
• 7 NSPA Pacemakers
• 15 NSPA Pacemaker finalists
• 5 NSPA Best of Show trophies
• 23 NSPA Best of Show places

The 2026 JEA Journalist of the Year as well as one of the six Journalist of the Year finalists attended the Gloria Shields Workshop in 2025.

Now it’s become my passion to use that power as a voice for those around me.”
